Thursday 18th July Liverpool

I real like this sailing around the British Isles

So today was Liverpool.

We had planned a long walk round the city starting in Mathew Street where the Cavern Club was. We saw the statue of Cilla Black didn’t look anything like her, Eleanor Rigby and went in the Beatles Museum which was a bit of a rip off. We should have gone the The Beatles Story but could not face any more Beatles stuff as I never really was a fan! We walked up to the cathedrals the Roman Catholic one was closed due to graduation but we walked to the other which was not as good a Durham but very large the largest in The country.

Then we went into the city and John Lewis to charge our phones then carried on to Albert Dock. Met a friend Tabitha from a previous cruise  with her parents that was lovely. We then went to Museum of Liverpool an excellent museum and if we had not already walked nine miles would have somet longer in here.

Back on board and a Beatles sail away was the order of the day.

Lovely city so glad had the chance to explore and the weather was kind again.
