Penghu Island

 After a day at sea where it was windy and cool we got to Penghu Island off the coast of Taiwan.

We went to a lecture yesterday about Hong Kong  and China which was not too bad apart from being death by PowerPoint.

We went on tour today to see the highlights, there really aren’t many highlights to the islands but our tour guide was great and as we only had ten people on our coach she always took us a different route to all the other buses which had thirty on them!

Keith met another Keith on the tour and the other Keith got him to try this squid from a packet. Apparently it was disgusting as you can see from Keith face. Then we tried cactus popcorn and that was nice very fruity.

We went to a basalt column cliff, view point and a village. Lastly a temple and a huge Banyan tree which is 362 years old. Keith threw the wood in the temple and he had asked to win in the casino tonight!

Amazing tree and apparently his wish will come true according to the wood blocks.

After supper we went to the casino and truly he had a very good evening, his first hand was a straight he had a couple more , few hands with pairs and then he got a straight flush! So a good night.

I started with 50 dollars on the matchine and ended up with 190 so I did ok too.
