So yesterday evening I looked up Takamatsu as we did not have a trip booked. It seemed the best place to visit was Ritsurin Gardens.
I looked on the map and it was a 2.5km walk from the ship so we decided to do that. We left the ship relatively early before 9am and walked to the gardens though the town. The streets are so clean the cars don’t hoot each other it seemed a very calm place.
The gardens were 410 yen to get in which is only £2 each! The garden had two set paths but you could wander off these paths. We walked around for nearly two hours and it was absolutely lovely. Cherry blossom was starting to come out the magnolia trees looked magnificent.
The photos do not do it justice as is often the case.
We walked back to the ship and caught up on writing this blog and thinking about doing a little packing as I am sure I won’t be needing shorts anymore.
