Dover
Well today the sun was shining so we decided to walk up to Dover Castle as although the shuttle went the exercise is good for us and the castle did not open until 10.
Was fascinating when we got there as had to wait to go in but hardly anyone there so we had most of the places to ourselves. Fascinating proper castle the walls are so incredibly thick. They have made it look very authentic with the interiors decor. Went up the tower and had fantastic view. Round the church and the museum then we did the tour of the tunnels which were used in the Second World War.
We came back to the ship for the afternoon and sat on our balcony watching border force bringing in refugees, I counted 125 from one boat and another arrived shortly after and had a similar number on. Most were men a few women and children. A truly dreadful situation to see at first hand.
