We got up at 430am so we could watch us sail down the Thames to Greenwich. It was truly worth it as the sun was coming up and it was a lovely day. We came under the QE2 bridge and then sailed on down the river past the Woolwich Ferry which rarely seems to run, past the Thames Barrier and up to the O2. Here the ship had to turn around and then reversed the rest of the way to Greenwich. Truly brilliant to see and be part of.
Katy, Matt, Emily and Alex were coming on board for the day so we went to pick them up at 1030. Lovely walk round Greenwich market and the park and then we bought them onto the ship. They had a look round ate doughnuts, swam for an hour, ate lunch then finished the tour of the ship and our room. Had a fabulous day and they seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves.
In the evening it was the Euro Final against Spain and we know what happened there. We sat watching it on my iPhone at the dinner table…no sound!
Watched the show Barricade Boys and then had a drink before bed.
Had an absolutely brilliant day!
