Saturday 6th July Copenhagen

Our regular readers will be pleased to know that on our day at sea we won Trivia, excellent news.

Anyway today we were in Copenhagen and the weather was not particularly kind and the forecast was for nice morning horrible afternoon. So we went out this morning got the shuttle into the centre of the city and started walking. The heavens opened and we had to take shelter even though we had raincoats and an umbrella!

Absolutely lovely city. We started by wandering around Nyhaven which is just full of restaurants!!

Then we walked back to the square where the theatre was and the Hotel Angleterre so Keith thinks it is an omen for us to win tonight in the Euros.

We then wandered the shopping area which is wonderful and looked in a few shops and a supermarket. We then walked to Rosenberg castle where we got drowned.

We then carried on with our walk to Kastellet which was built to defend the Danish from the English. We then walked back to the ship as it looked like rain. It didn’t rain and in fact was a lovely afternoon so the weather forecast was wrong again. The first church picture  is sT Paul’s and the one by Kastellat is St Albans.
