Well we are supposed to be in Aalborg but due to a terrible storm system the Captain decided at 5pm yesterday that staying in Copenhagen over night was a better option.
We are here until 2pm. So we got up and decided to walk into town and see the places we didn’t see yesterday. Took an hour to walk in but we saw some lovely places en route.
The Little Mermaid, went by St Albans church again and the lovely Gefion fountain. Then onto Amalienborg which is a huge palace used today and a statue of King Frederick V.
Then to Christiansborg Palace. All the buildings here are truly stunning and delightful to see.
The Royal Library gardens were beautiful as we walked past.
We then ended up paying to go to Tivoli Gardens. Entry £20 each and a total rip off!! The gardens are pretty but it was too busy and we had walked all the way round in 40 minutes. Walt Disney took his idea from here and did a much better job of spreading people out.
The pictures are in the order from above. The last floral ones from inside tivoli.
Ship leaves for Kristiansund as expected later.
