St Kilda

So today the weather was glorious and we took the zodiacs to St Kilda. We spent a few hours there enjoying the tranquility, watching the chicks and generally walking around.

Look on a map to see how remote this island is.

The pictures cannot show how lovely it was to be there and we talked to the people that live here for five months of the year looking after the island. One guy explained he was studying the sheep and how what they learnt with the wild sheep was helping the domestic sheep.

An absolutely glorious day.

We did some scenic cruising when we left to go to the Stac which is one of the photos below where apparently some 60000 birds live!
