We came here 22 years ago and it was foggy and rainy and we never saw anything sore Captain at the time put the DVD of the glacier on the TV so we could see what we were missing.
Well we woke up to rain and mist and were pretty disappointed. We went to a lecture on the glacier and she tried to give us hope. However Captain Jorius persevered and although it was raining we got just under half a mile away from the glacier and the view even in the rain was magnificent. Truly inspiring.
The pictures do t really do it justice and the calving that we saw was amazing and so loud at times. We seemed to stay for an hour and then we had to turn and leave the fjord towards open sea and bad rough seas
