Well we were up early as we needed to be on the tender as soon as we could. We left the ship just after 8 am. Met our guide Richard and off we went for a tour round the island. Richard was born here 45 years ago when there was no electricity and leprosy was prevalent. Interesting day in a 4 x 4 again, although the roads are better than those in England!
The photos don’t do the justice to the wonderful scenery throughout the island.
We saw a man carving by eye which was truly remarkable, trying to ensure the pattern was symmentrical.
Lunch at a restaurant with a beer. More scenery and then back to the ship.
We had sun and rain but it didn’t spoil the day at all.
