Icefield Parkway

 We were awake early so we left early as the sun was rising. It took an hour to get to the Parkway and the scenery is stunning on route 1 but even more so on the Parkway as the photos will show when I can load them

We stopped at many places along the way Bow Lake, Peyto Lake and lots more until we got to the Icefield Centre. Here we took the trip out onto the glacier as we had done years ago, even Keith and I could see how much smaller it was. It was very wet and I went into the sludgy ice up to my calf at one point…one poor guy went in up to his bottom so they had to put a caution around that sight! 

A really enjoyable day even driving back stunning absolutely stunning.
